UpCost

Every time you cave,
the price goes up.

The first check of Instagram was never the problem. It's the fifteenth — the one you don't remember making, forty minutes after you said you'd stop.

How it works

Pick the apps that take your evenings. UpCost locks them. To get back in, you pay — in push-ups, squats or steps, counted by the phone itself.

Pay once and you get a few minutes. Come back an hour later and it costs double. Then double again. The price resets at midnight, and you choose the currency — swap to steps if you're in a meeting, mid-set if you like.

It can't be faked

Push-ups are counted by the proximity sensor, not the accelerometer. Shaking the phone gets you nowhere.

Break glass

An emergency unlock that's free, instant and never refused. It's simply counted. You are never trapped.

Your numbers

Hours bought back, effort paid, streaks — and the hour of the day you most often give in.

No account

Nothing to sign up for. Nothing syncs. There is no server to sign into because there is no server.

What it never sees

UpCost cannot tell which apps you chose. Apple hands the app an opaque token and seals the rest — deliberately, and even from us. Your step and rep counts never leave the phone. There is no analytics, no tracking, and nothing to leak.

Everyone else charges the same price every time. UpCost doubles it — because the cost of caving should rise with the caving, not sit flat while your evening disappears.
